Managing
Environmental, Health and Safety at Alexion
Our commitment to environmental stewardship and the health and safety of our people is governed by a strong Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Policy endorsed by our CEO. All employees and contractors are covered by this policy. Our environmental management system (EMS) follows widely accepted global standards, including ISO 14001, and is backed by an extensive suite of in-house EHS standards.
In 2020, an independent consultant completed a comprehensive EHS audit of our manufacturing sites and R&D facilities worldwide. We also began working with a specialist consultancy to conduct a Climate Change Risk Assessment (CCRA) of our major manufacturing sites, contract manufacturers, distribution centers and logistics activities.
